Abstract:

Since 1992, the EBRD has provided policy advice and technical assistance for legal reforms which foster secured transactions. This article charts the progress made in this sector and presents the various assessments conducted by the Bank, with a focus on the New Legal Indicator Survey first conducted in 2003.
