HealthCLIR: Developing Human Capacity

Developing Human Capacity

These indicators primarily examine the development of human resources for health within the country, in addition to efforts for retention, effective distribution of personnel throughout the country, and social, economic, and cultural issues affecting healthcare professions in the private sector. Indicators concerning education, training, hiring, and employee concerns address directly the development of human capacity, whereas indicators pertaining to brain drain, urban/rural and public/private distribution of workers, and underlying causes for informal practices and medical economies indirectly address human resource development.
